By submitting the TSC Scholarship Application, you will be matched to available scholarships in which you meet the minimum criteria. It is possible to be considered for multiple scholarships by submitting the scholarship application. A scholarship search is available on the scholarship application webpage (see below: How to Apply Step 1).

2024-25 Scholarship Application

The 2024-25 scholarship application is now posted for students to complete. Please reach out to the scholarship office at Scholarships@tsc.fl.edu if you encounter any issues.

How to Apply

1. Create your TSC scholarship account

To create your TSC Scholarship Account, click here.

2. Log in and click on the scholarship application to begin

3. Answer all required and applicable questions

This will assist in determining which scholarships you may meet the minimum criteria for, so be sure to provide accurate and complete information. Scholarships are limited funding and not everyone who applies is selected for a scholarship, so be sure to do your very best when answering the questions, completing the essay, and providing letters of recommendation.

4. Provide at least two letters of recommendation

Recommendations can be submitted online by providing your recommender’s name and email address in the recommendation section of the scholarship application. An email request will be sent to the person you have identified so that a recommendation can be completed for you. Be sure to discuss this with your recommender and get permission from them before you provide your recommenders' information on your scholarship application. Letters of Recommendation are very important and are required to be considered for most scholarships.

5. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Submit the FAFSA at StudentAid.gov. Some scholarships require applicants to demonstrate financial need. The FAFSA is required to determine financial need.

6. Submit the scholarship application by the required deadline

Review the deadline schedule below.

7. Monitor your email account

Log on to your email account you provided on your scholarship application periodically to check for updates and/or notifications.

TSC Foundation

The TSC Foundation is committed to ensuring student success through scholarships to both traditional and non-traditional students. Each year, more than 400 students receive financial assistance from the TSC Foundation scholarships.

Student Ambassador

Grow, serve and earn scholarship money in the process. The TSC Student Ambassador Scholarship offers an opportunity to get involved in areas like orientation and mentorship. Plus, those selected score full tuition and fees for one academic year. The scholarship is also renewable for a second academic year.

Housing

Hunting for new digs while pinching pennies? Apply for a housing scholarship with Southern Scholarship Foundation (SSF). SSF is a non-profit organization that awards affordable living opportunities to qualified students. All applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and a demonstrated financial need.

Pre-Collegiate

TSC provides funding for special programs that assist pre-collegiate-level youth with finding a better path through education. These programs include Take Stock in Children (TSIC), which provide low-income youth with scholarships, mentors, and hope for a better life through education.

Florida Bright Futures

Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program includes:

To have your Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Award applied to your tuition at TSC you must:

1. Inform the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program you are attending TSC

TSC must be identified as your Post-Secondary Institution (PSI) . To update your PSI, contact the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program customer service at 1-(888) 827-2004 or http://www.floridastudentfinancialaid.org/

2. You must be fully admitted to TSC

All required transcripts, test scores, application requirements, etc. must be received and evaluated by the TSC Admissions & Records Office.

3. Florida residency must be established

Florida Residency must be established by the TSC Admissions & Records Office.

4. You must have a Social Security Number on file in Workday

Your social security number with the TSC Admissions & Records Office must match with the social security number the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program has on file for you. Submit your Social Security Card to the Admissions and Records Office.

5. You must be accepted into your program of study at TSC

The classes you enroll in must be required for your TSC program of study.

6. Use caution when dropping or withdrawing from your course(s) after the Drop/Add deadlines

You must reimburse the college for the cost of course(s) dropped or withdrawn after the initial drop/add period. Due to a verifiable illness or emergency, you can submit an appeal electronically for hours dropped or withdrawn after the last day of the drop/add period. The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Appeal for Repayment After Withdrawal form can be found on Workday's app under the Student Finance Hub > TSC College Forms > Submit a New Form > Financial Aid.

Other Scholarships

Outside Scholarships are awarded by various businesses, charities, clubs/groups, etc. These scholarships have their individual application process and are awarded by outside organizations. Please be aware of what websites you search through and know there should never be a cost associated with applying for scholarships.

The links below are for outside scholarships that are not offered directly through Tallahassee State College. For more information, please contact the individual organization.

Scholarship granting organizations wishing to have their scholarships posted below can email Scholarships@tsc.fl.edu with a brief description, including the deadline, and the scholarship application link for consideration. Beginning May 1, 2023, Florida organizations will only be permitted to advertise a scholarship offer.

If you receive an outside scholarship, make sure to report this information to the Financial Aid Office so it can be included in your financial aid award.
